In line with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), this privacy notice explains in detail the personal data
Great Grottos retain about you and how we’ll store and handle that data, and keep it safe.

What data do we process?

We retain your name, address, contact numbers, email, children’s names, children’s DOB. Everything supplied
during your booking.

Why do we keep it?

We retain your data so we may ensure your booking data is available at the Grotto on the day of your visit and
to contact you in the unlikely event should any changes to your booking be necessary.

Where do we keep it?

It is hosted at a secure data centre.

Who can access it?

Only the Great Grottos’ Head Office team via our prebookings database.

Who do we share it with?

No one. However if you also opt-in to event marketing contact, our client, typically the retail centre hosting the Grotto, will receive your data for the purposes of contacting you regarding similar events and offers.

How long do we keep it?

Up to 10 months. At the end of that retention period, your data will be deleted completely.

How can I delete my data?

You may ask at anytime for your personal data to be deleted in full by phoning 01306 886 989 or emailing
Enquiries@GreatGrottos.co.uk. Please note, it may not be possible to delete your data prior to your booking
whilst still facilitating your booking.

Frequent Questions


What is the price?
£17 per child and £3 per adult per visit.


Will a photo be taken of our visit with Santa?
Yes. Professional photos are available to purchase during your visit inside the Grotto. Please check your photos before leaving, as refunds cannot be offered once you have exited.


What is the experience?
One at a time, each family will enjoy a magical 10-minute visit inside our cosy woodland tipi. Guided by Santa’s elf, children will plant a magic bean before meeting Santa for a photo opportunity and receive an age-appropriate gift from Santa. Whilst with Santa, children will also discover that their planted bean has magically grown into their very own Mini Christmas Tree to take home! (the elves have kindly asked if grown-ups can keep this a surprise for little ones!)


Where is the Grotto?
The Grotto is located at Pugh’s Wenvoe Garden Centre (Port Road, Vale of Glamorgan, CF5 6AD). Please note this event is not taking place at our Radyr centre. Wenvoe is easily accessible from the M4 and has a large family-friendly car park, making it convenient to visit from across South Wales.


Is there a limit on the number of children per family?
Each booking can have a maximum of four children. If you wish to book for more than four children, you will be instructed to make two bookings. Your group will still be able to visit together at one of the times you have selected. Full details will be provided when tickets go live.


How many adults may attend?
There is a limit of 8 adults attending, but please note that more than four may feel a little cramped inside the Tipi.


What gift will my child receive?
Each child will receive an age-appropriate gift from Santa. As part of our sustainability drive, all gifts will be supplied unwrapped.


Do I have to pay for my baby?
If your baby is the only child in your booking, then yes, a child ticket is required. However, if your baby is attending alongside another paying child, they can visit for free (excluding receiving a gift).


What is the refund policy?
Tickets are non-refundable.

However, you may change your visit date, subject to availability, via the reschedule link in your booking email.


Can my child sit on Santa?
Please do not sit your child on Santa. There will be space next to him. 


Can I change my booking date or time?
Yes. Click 'Edit Booking' on the menu above. 


I have not received my ticket?
Please search your inbox for 'Father Christmas' or check your junk/spam email folder.  


I cannot print my ticket?
Your booking reference, or booking name, will allow Santa's Elves to find your booking at the Grotto.


Can I book for more than four children?
A second booking is necessary so that we may manage timings. Your entire party may visit at either time booked. 


How many adult may attend?
There is no limit on the number of adults. However please know, more than four may prove to be a squeeze.  


What gift will I receive?
As part of our sustainability drive, all of Santa's gifts are unwrapped. He has a variety to suit all ages.


Will a photo be taken of our visit with Santa?
Yes. You may also take your own photos. 

Please check photo products before leaving the Grotto to ensure you are happy with them. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds after you have left the Grotto. 


Can I return to purchase photo reprints?
Yes. Your photo receipt shows your photo number. This will allow Santa's Elves to find your photo should you return. 


Are pushchairs allowed?
Yes. 


Are wheel chairs allowed?
Yes. 


Special requirements
If a member of your party has a special requirement, please make Santa's Elves aware upon arrival.
